WSET Sessions
The SAT (Systematic Approach to Tasting) approaches wines with a method developed by the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) which provides the taster with tools for assessing the quality, style, and aging potential of a wine. Affiliation or a desire to pursue examinations with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust is not required to join us.
Twin Cities Somms is excited to launch the winter session focused exclusively on the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) systematic approach to tasting wine (SAT). In these sessions, we’ll blind-taste 2-3 wines that could come up on a WSET certification exam. This is a great opportunity to learn about the SAT format, practice writing tasting notes, and taste wines in a blind and timed (exam-like) setting.
All are welcome - at all levels - whether you’re preparing for an upcoming exam or just want to learn more about WSET and the SAT. It will be an open, collegial environment, where we all benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience!
These tasting sessions are free-of-charge to TCS members, thanks to the generosity of local distributor donations! Pre-registration is required, capped at a maximum of 20 people. Register for the date you’d like to attend via our calendar of events.
